When combined with a global push to reduce the use of single use plastics and increase recycling, the outlook for our oceans and ecosystem has just got a little better.

The World Economic Forum has predicted that by 2050 our oceans are expected to contain more plastic than fish. So, it is really exciting that science has joined forces with business leaders to turn around this environmental disaster.

In September 2018 Ocean Cleanup ( commenced its System 001 trial of new technology to clean up our oceans by extracting plastic and waste. Commencing in the Pacific Ocean off the coast of San Francisco the trial is focusing on evaluating the technology, fine tuning /improving and expanding the system.
